While we do not treat and diagnose all types of dizziness, we are able to treat the most common type of dizziness.
Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
BPPV is one of the most common causes of vertigo. BPPV causes sudden, brief episodes of vertigo that are usually triggered by specific changes in head position.
Symptoms of BPPV:
Vertigo (sensation of spinning) lasting seconds to minutes.
Vertigo worsens when turning the head in a certain direction, or lying down.
Most people notice this spinning sensation when rolling over in bed.
If BPPV is ruled out, you may be referred to a vestibular audiologist for a full vestibular evaluation.
